SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Welcome to KSL Sports Game Night as the Utah Jazz host the Los Angeles Lakers in their final home game of the first half of the regular season.
The Jazz are coming off a 132-110 victory over the Charlotte Hornets in which they hit a franchise-record 28 threes, 15 of which came in the final 19 minutes of the game.
The Lakers meanwhile have lost four of their last five games, including three straight heading into their matchup with the Jazz.
Follow this page throughout the night for updates on pregame quotes, starting lineups, and thoughts and highlights throughout the game.
The @utahjazz face off against a short handed and tired @Lakers team tonight.

Pregame Quotes
Without Anthony Davis in the lineup, it’s difficult to get a full read on how the Jazz would fare against the Lakers if the two teams meet in the postseason based on this game alone.
However, Jazz coach Quin Snyder said the team still has value.
“I don’t see this as the type of situation where one way or the other you can play with a team like Lakers or you can’t beat a team like the Lakers,” Snyder said. “I think it’s more about how you play how you match up.”
I thought Lakers coach Frank Vogel had a good quote on the Lakers and how they matchup with the Jazz, especially Rudy Gobert, even without Anthony Davis.

Speaking of matchups, Lakers coach Frank Vogel discussed how his team would approach Rudy Gobert without Davis in the lineup.
“Marc (Gasol) should be able to bring him away from the basket, [Montrezl Harrell] has been very effective in games against Utah over the last couple of years in matchups with Rudy,” Vogel said. “So we’re confident in what we can do as long as we’re intelligent in how we’re attacking the basket.”

Spida steal, Rudy flush.
