BYU Women’s Basketball Named NCAA.com Team Of The Week

PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s basketball team was recognized as the NCAA.com Team of the Week after a trio of impressive victories.
The Cougars were honored on Wednesday, February 17.
BYU was named the NCAA.com Team of the Week after consecutive victories over Pepperdine, Pacific, and Saint Mary’s.

The Cougars began a three-game road trip in California with a 57-43 win over Pepperdine on February 9. BYU’s Sara Hamson tied her career-high with nine blocks.
A couple of days later, BYU coasted past Pacific, 65-52.
On February 13, the Cougars capped off the trip with a 79-61 victory over the Saint Mary’s Gaels. Paisley Johnson Harding led BYU with a season-high 28 points in the win.

The Cougars are currently in the midst of a five-game winning streak.
BYU owns a record of 14-3 this season, including 10-2 in West Coast Conference play. The Cougars are a perfect 10-0 at the Marriott Center this season.
The Cougars’ next game is against the No. 16 Gonzaga Bulldogs on Thursday, February 18, at 6 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on BYUtv.
