Jordan Clarkson Sets Up Jazz C Rudy Gobert With Easy Layup Against Celtics

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jordan Clarkson set up Rudy Gobert with an easy layup in the second quarter while having two Boston Celtics’ defenders on him.
The play was set up when Jordan Clarkson took the ball down into the paint, then he had two Celtics trying to trap him when he threw the ball behind the legs of one player to give Rudy Gobert the layup.
That trimmed Boston’s lead to 29-26 with 9:40 left in the second quarter.

The Jazz had an uphill climb to start when Boston made six of their first seven three-pointers. Utah later took the lead in the second quarter but then the Celtics took the lead back midway through the period.
Utah has locked in defensively on Jayson Tatum and has shut him down through the first 18 minutes of the game. Tatum had just 2 points on 1-of-7 shooting from the field.
Offensively, the Jazz were balanced scoring the ball. Donovan Mitchell reached double figures with his second three-pointer to tie the game with 5:07 left. That gave him 12 points on the night. Rudy Gobert and Joe Ingles combined for 13 points.
The Jazz began a four-game homestand on Tuesday night with the Celtics. Utah will next face the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, February 12, the Miami Heat on Saturday, February 13 and the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, February 15. All three games will begin at 7 p.m. MST and will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet.
