SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder has been named NBA Coach of the Month for the months of December January.
The Jazz went 13-3 in January and own the second-best record in the NBA at 15-5, one win behind the Los Angeles Clippers for the league’s top honors.
Snyder last won the Coach of the Month award in April of 2018 for games played in March and April of that year when the Jazz went 17-4, equalling the best record in the Western Conference for that season.
Congratulations to Coach Quin Snyder on winning Coach of the Month honors in the Western Conference for December/January.

This marks just the second time Snyder has won the award since taking over as head coach for the Jazz in 2014.
Snyder is the third coach in Jazz history to win the award multiple times, joining former coach Frank Layden who earned the honor two times, and the late Jerry Sloan who won the award 10 times during his Hall of Fame career.
It’s been a milestone filled season for Snyder, now in his seventh year with the Jazz. In January, Snyder passed Layden for the second most coaching wins in team history at 278.

Last week, Snyder coached his 500th game for the Jazz, a 116-104 victory over the Dallas Mavericks for the team’s 10th straight win.
Snyder has a record of 286-216 with the Jazz for a winning percent of .570. The Jazz coach is the seventh-longest tenured coach in the NBA.
Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers earned the honors for the Eastern Conference.
