REAL SALT LAKE
Former Real Salt Lake President Purchases Premier League Club Burnley F.C.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Real Salt Lake President Alan Pace has bought English Premier League club Burnley F.C.
Pace, 49, acted as President of Real Salt Lake from September of 2006 to August of 2008, played a pivotal role in creating the foundation of Real Salt Lake. He was heavily involved in the success RSL sustained shortly after his time spent with the club, specifically the 2009 MLS Championship, the only championship in club history.
Now Pace heads an American investment firm titled ALK Capital and earlier this year ALK Capital were notified of their approved purchase of Burnley F.C. ALK Capital bought 84 percent of the controlling stake within the organization.
'An exciting new chapter'.

“This is very much something we have a passion for ourselves and we are looking forward to the opportunity to be involved for years to come. This is something we’re excited about,” Pace said in a video clip released by the club. “We wouldn’t do anything that’s not on a long-term basis, this is not a short, buy-to-flip, opportunity,” Pace added.
Burnley F.C. have now spent five consecutive seasons in England’s top-flight league and are led by Manager Sean Dyche who has been in charge for the past eight years.
Currently, Burnley sit in 16th place in the Premier League standings, four points clear of the relegation zone.
