Brumfield recently completed his third season with the Utes.
The Louisiana native was the backup to Zack Moss for the last two seasons and was expected to have an increased workload going into 2020. The emergence of true freshman Ty Jordan has changed the rotation of the Utah backfield.
In 2018, Brumfield played in five games, rushing for 42 yards on 14 carries.
Last season, he played in 12 games, racking up 263 yards on 59 attempts for 2 touchdowns. So far this season, Brumfield has 21 carries for 85 rushing yards and one TD through four games.
The Utes recently added to their running back group with transfers in Oklahoma’s TJ Pledger and LSU’s Chris Curry.
