Report: Utah’s Pita Tonga, Mufi Hill-Hunt Enter NCAA Transfer Portal

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah defensive tackle Pita Tonga and tight end Mufi Hill-Hunt have reportedly entered their names into the NCAA Transfer Portal.
This is the third and fourth Utah players to enter the portal, joining punter Ben Lennon and quarterback Jake Bentley.
It’s Utah’s World podcast co-host and 247Sports Utah beat writer Steve Bartle first reported the news.

Tonga finished his fifth season with the Utes. The former Highland High School star played in two games this season. He picked up 29 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 2 interceptions and 2 pass deflections in 35 games played.
Hill-Hunt did not play in 2020. He previously spent three seasons with Michigan State before transferring to Utah. The former Taylorsville High School star played two games on the defensive line in 2019 before moving to tight end in 2020.
