Jake Bentley, Britain Covey Connect For Score, Second-Longest Passing TD In School History

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah quarterback Jake Bentley hit wide receiver Britain Covey for a long touchdown on the second-longest passing score in school history during the Utes’ game against Washington State.
The Utes hosted the Cougars at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, December 19.
With 3:37 remaining in the second quarter, Covey ran a hitch-and-go route to get behind the defense. Bentley saw Covey flying down the sideline and let the ball loose.

The junior receiver caught the pass and took it 91 yards to the house.

Bentley’s pass to Covey was also tied for the fourth-longest play from scrimmage in Utah history.

It was Utah’s first score of the game and cut Washington State’s lead to 14-7.
After the touchdown toss, Bentley was 7/13 for 153 yards and one touchdown
It was Covey’s first grab of the game.
