SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Corner Canyon quarterback Jaxson Dart announced his commitment to sign a national letter of intent to play for the USC Trojans.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound signal-caller was one of four players to announce their decision during ESPN’s National Signing Day Special on Wednesday, December 16.

The Chargers star rose from off-the-radar recruit to one of the nation’s top quarterbacks in the class of 2021 after leading Corner Canyon to an undefeated 14-0 state championship season.

During his undefeated 14-game run with the Chargers, Dart set a Utah High School Football single-season record for most touchdown passes with 67. He finished the 2020 season with 4,691 yards, good for 335.1 yards per game and a 146.9 QB rate.

BYU was the first college to offer Dart last summer when he was a relatively unknown prospect at Roy High School. After a nationally televised performance against Bingham last August, Dart’s interest from Power 5 schools started to roll in as Arizona State, USC, and UCLA all came into the picture for the No. 103 ranked national prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Dart, the son of former Utah defensive back Brandon Dart, is the highest-rated quarterback prospect to come from Utah since Cottonwood’s Cooper Bateman signed with Alabama in the 2013 recruiting class.
