SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – In the second quarter of Utah’s Saturday morning game against Colorado, junior tight end Cole Fotheringham hurdled over a Buffaloes defender.
Early in the second quarter, Utah quarterback Jake Bentley was flushed out of the pocket when he threw to Fotheringham as he was getting hit. Fotheringham hurdled over CU safety Derrion Rakestraw and ran for another five yards before being tackled out of bounds.

Utah couldn’t capitalize on the big play as they gave the ball back to Colorado as Bentley threw an interception on the very next play. That was Fotheringham’s first catch of the game for a 16-yard gain.
It was a great start to the game for Utah’s offense as they brought a nice balance of running and passing. Bentley found Solomon Enis for a 7-yard touchdown.
Utah took a 7-0 lead with 12:03 remaining, capping off a 6-play, 60-yard drive in 2:57. Since that point, Utah’s offense wasn’t able to put up any more points.
