SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah and current Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith connected with tight end Logan Thomas for a touchdown on Thanksgiving Day.

The Dallas Cowboys hosted Smith and Washington on Thursday, November 26.

With 2:30 remaining in the first half, Smith found Thomas in the end zone for a five-yard completion.

The touchdown pass gave Washington a 17-10 lead late in the second quarter.

He had a passer rating of 108.3 up to that point of the game.

The Thanksgiving matchup was Smith’s fifth game played this season and his third start since suffering a brutal injury in 2018.

“There are so many things I think we take for granted in our life,” Smith told NFL Network prior to the game. “We should [be thankful] more often than one day a year and… realize how lucky we are for so many things.”

At halftime, Washington owned a 17-13 lead over the Cowboys.

Washington vs. Dallas is broadcast on FOX.
