No. 6 Milford Takes Care Of No. 11 Monticello In First Round Of 2A Football Playoffs

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The six-seed Milford Tigers will move on to the next round after eliminating No. 11 Monticello, 59-6 in the first round of the 2A state football playoffs.
Milford jumped out to a 44-0 halftime lead before coasting through the second half to get the win. Devin Hatch threw Monticello’s only touchdown pass to K.C. Benge. For Milford, Bo Hardy accounted for four touchdowns, three passing and one rushing. Traie Buhler also threw a TD in the win. They connected with Blake Barnes, Heston Sullivan, Quaid Thompson and Treyton Rose. Casek Hardy and Bret Beebe each ran in scores on the ground. Beebe also had a scoop and score.
Milford will advance to the quarterfinals to face No. 3 Kanab (8-2) on Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.

No. 9 North Sevier 0 at No. 8 Millard 20
The Eagles scored all 20 of their points in the first half while keeping North Sevier scoreless. Taylor Davies recovered a fumble in the end zone, while Jed DeGraffenried ran in a touchdown as well as caught a pass in the end zone. Braxton Bond threw the TD pass for Millard.
Millard will advance to the quarterfinals to face No. 1 Beaver (10-0) on Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.
No. 13 Layton Christian at No. 4 Enterprise
Layton Christian forfeited the game due to to COVID-19 cases.
Enterprise will move on to the quarterfinals to battle No. 5 North Summit (6-3) on Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.
No. 12 Rich 13 at No. 5 North Summit 24
Crimzon Crittenden threw a touchdown to Kandon Mosher, while Kale Hobson found the end zone for North Summit. Konner Greer had a pick six for Rich.
North Summit will advance to the quarterfinals to face No. 4 Enterprise (6-3) on Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.
No. 10 Gunnison Valley 7 at No. 7 Parowan 24
Hutch Miller threw his only TD pass to Nicholas Goodman. Connor Robison and Braden Bettridge each ran in a touchdown on the ground for Parowan. Judy Pearson scored Gunnison Valley’s only touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Parowan will move on to the quarterfinals to battle No. 2 Duchesne (8-0) on Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.
Teams that received a first round bye: No. 1 Beaver, No. 2 Duchesne and No. 3 Kanab
