No. 1 Corner Canyon Finishes Regular Season Undefeated With Win Over No. 6 American Fork

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – No. 1 Corner Canyon finished the regular season undefeated with a 53-32 win over No. 6 American Fork.

The Chargers jumped out to a 19-11 lead in the first half before dropping 20 points in the third. Jaxson Dart threw six touchdown passes, finding Noah Kjar three times and once to Cody Hagen, Dylan Carlson and Jett Meine. Carlson also ran in two TD’s.

For American Fork, Maddux Madsen passed for three touchdowns, two to Fisher Ingersoll and one to Noah Moeaki. Madsen also ran in a score on the ground.

Here are all of the results in the 6A classification from the 10th week of the high school football season.

Region 1

Layton 17 Clearfield 28

Trailing by three points going into the fourth quarter, Clearfield scored 14 points in the final period to get the win. Bransen Simper found Dawson Burton for the only touchdown through the air. Kai Wirth ran in two TD’s while Omari Zuniga added one. For Layton, Garrett Gifford threw two touchdowns, connecting with Jaren McMillan and Porter Hansen.

No. 4 Roy 8 No. 15 Weber 35

The Weber Warriors blasted the Roy Royals in a 35-8 upset. The Warriors were led by Jake Lindsay’s three touchdown performance. Weber finished the season with a 7-1 record and handed Roy its first loss as the Royals ended the regular season at 8-1.

Region 2

No. 19 West 24 Granger 0

The West Panthers blanked the Granger Lancers 24-0 on Thursday night. West finished the season with a 7-2 record and Granger ended at 3-5.

No. 10 Kearns 65 Cyprus 28

The Kearns Cougars responded from a loss with a 65-28 blowout against the Cyprus Pirates. Kearns’ Iosefa Toia’ivao scored four touchdowns in the win. The Cougars ended the regular season at 8-1 and the Pirates closed at 2-7.

West Jordan 48 Taylorsville 21

The West Jordan Jaguars soundly defeated the Taylorsville Warriors 48-21 behind Boston Farmer’s four touchdowns. The Jaguars ended the regular season at 3-6 and the Warriors finished the season at 2-8.

Region 3

Copper Hills 7 No. 16 Bingham 28

The Bingham Miners handled their business against the Copper Hills Grizzlies and won 28-7. The Miners ended the regular season with a 6-3 record and the Grizzlies finished at 3-5.

Jordan 0 No. 17 East 49

The East Leopards blanked the Jordan Beetdiggers 49-0. East finished the season with a 5-4 record and Jordan ended at 0-10.

Riverton 0 Herriman 17

The Herriman Mustangs shutout the Riverton Silverwolves 17-0 in the regular season finale. Herriman ended the regular season at 5-5 and Riverton closed at 5-5.

Region 4

No. 11 Pleasant Grove 7 No. 2 Lone Peak 22

It was a slow first half offensively with only 10 points scored between both teams. Lone Peak shut out the Vikings in the second half and scored 19 points. The Knights had two rushing touchdowns from Luke Durfey. Pleasant Grove had one passing TD from Sam Leavitt to Isaac Vaha.

Westlake 13 No. 3 Skyridge 71

Westlake scored all of their 13 points in the second quarter. The Falcons had six points in the first quarter, 31 in the second quarter, 20 in the third and 14 in the fourth quarter. McCae Hillstead accounted for six touchdowns, three rushing and three passing. Kiai Keone also threw a TD. Mitch Adamson hauled in two touchdowns through the air while Jeter Fenton and Kegan Cook each added one. Teagan Calton added a rushing score. For Westlake, Brayden Ross threw two TD, both to James Maxwell.

Non-Region

Farmington 10 Fremont 16

Fremont needed 9 points in the fourth quarter to overcome a 10-7 deficit to pick up the win. Cannon Kofford and Kyler Kotter each ran in a touchdown for Fremont. Farmington picked up a rushing touchdown from Boston Reinhold.

Provo 42 Northridge 16

The Bulldogs scored 21 points in the third quarter to pull away for a big road win. Jamison Harward threw a TD to Ryder MacGillivray. Jace Welsch and Kyson Condie each ran in two touchdowns. For Northridge, both Bryce Hughes and Famous Williams threw a touchdown pass to Brooks Ashton and Zach Smith.
