PROVO, Utah – BYU’s Brady Christensen has been one of the top linemen in the country this season. Christensen has been the anchor of BYU’s offense that is averaging 51.5 points through the first two weeks of the season.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound junior has been dominant, just like the entire BYU team. For his excellent play through the first two weeks of the season, PFF recognized Christensen as part of their National Team of the Week.
Christensen graded out as the top left tackle in the country this week by Pro Football Focus as BYU racked up 664 yards of total offense, including 472 in the air and 192 on the ground in the 48-7 win over the Troy Trojans.

Along with being named to PFF’s team of the week, Christensen also received recognition from BYU coaches as an “Offensive Champion.” Christensen was one of eight players who received that nod from the coaching staff.
BYU’s entire offensive line ranks as the second-best offensive line through the first four weeks by Pro Football Focus. The only team ranked in front of BYU is Notre Dame. Individual PFF grades for BYU’s offensive line include Brady Christensen at 91.8, Tristen Hoge at 94.9, Clark Barrington 90,8, James Empey 86.8, and Chandon Herring at 74.4.
Last week, Hoge was out of the game due to pneumonia, and Herring switched from right tackle to right guard, opening the door for Blake Freeland to re-enter the starting lineup.
BYU takes its undefeated record into their next game this Friday against undefeated Louisiana Tech Bulldogs from Conference-USA. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. (Mountain Time) and will be televised on ESPN2.
