ORLANDO, Fla. – Mike Conley was getting his teammates involved in the opening quarter of Game 6 of the NBA Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets.
Late in the first quarter, Conley received the ball after a missed shot by the Nuggets when he threw the ball across the court as Georges Niang was behind the Nuggets as they were getting back on defense. Niang was wide open and dunked the ball with two hands.
The play gave Utah a 32-24 lead over the Nuggets with over one minute remaining in the opening period.

Niang was up to five points after drilling a corner three-pointer earlier in the quarter. Conley notched his fifth assist early in the game.
The Jazz started the game by making their first seven field goal attempts including their first three 3-pointers. Utah was 7 of 7 from the field and held a 15-8 lead with 9:06 remaining in the opening period.
During that stretch, Donovan Mitchell had 8 points on 3 of 3 shooting from the field and 2 for 2 from beyond the arc. Mike Conley added 5 points with a two-pointer and a three. Rudy Gobert also had 5 points with two field goals and a free throw.
The Jazz last played on Tuesday when they fell to the Nuggets in Game 5. Game 6 was originally scheduled for Thursday but was postponed when NBA players decided to boycott games after the Jacob Blake shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
