SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Members of the Dixie State football team saved another life this weekend during flooding that happened in St. George on Sunday.
The flooding, caused by intense rains, shut down roads and homes were flooded, according to KSL TV. There were also reports of downed power lines, debris blocking roads, and other roads where the water was still too high to drive.
During the storm, members of the Dixie State Football team were watching from a balcony when they saw a woman get swept under a car. They ran to her rescue and lifted the car enough to help her escape, according to Steve Johnson of Dixie State Athletics.

Johnson told KSL Sports that a fire truck soon showed up and was able to take the woman to a hospital where she was treated for her injuries. Details of the injuries are not known at this time.
The rains have since passed by, and a flash flood warning has expired. On Monday, major clean-up efforts helped clear the town of debris left by flooding.

At the beginning of August, the team had another showing of heroics when they pulled a woman to safety after her hair was caught in the rappelling rope.
During a team hike up Dixie Rock, the Trail Blazers saw a woman in trouble as she was stuck midway down the rock with her hair caught in a rappelling rope.
