SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Royals and United States Women’s National Team player Kelley O’Hara remains in Utah, for now, despite multiple requests to be traded to the Washington Spirit, according to Steven Goff from the Washington Post.
O’Hara, 32, hails from Washington D.C. and has expressed her desire to play her final professional years for her home club.
Washington Spirit has turned down Utah Royals' trade request for Ashley Hatch, 25, or Tegan McGrady, 22, in exchange for Kelley O'Hara, 32, I'm told. O'Hara wants to play in DC, where she lives. Outside forces working hard to make trade happen. #nwsl #uswnt

Since arriving at the Royals in 2018, O’Hara has appeared in 14 games scoring 1 goal but has struggled with staying fit and healthy.
Furthermore, O’Hara has 114 caps for the USWNT where she has scored 2 goals. Whilst representing the United States, she has won two World Cups and one Olympic gold medal.
Only time will tell as to whether or not O’Hara has her wish granted.
