Jordan Clarkson Sparks Jazz First Half Lead With 16 Points

ORLANDO, Fla. – Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson provided the team with a much-needed spark in the first half which led to a double-digit halftime lead over the Denver Nuggets.
Clarkson finished the first half with 16 points in Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs. He also had 4 rebounds on 6 of 12 shooting from the field and a red-hot 4 for 6 from the three-point line.
Utah’s sixth man scored 7 points in the first quarter and 9 points in the second quarter to give the Jazz a 61-48 halftime lead. The Jazz ended the first half on a 22-6 run.

Rudy Gobert was the only other Jazz player to score in double figures through the first half with 12 points, one rebound, 2 assists and 2 blocks. After setting a franchise playoff record in Game 1 with 57 points, Donovan Mitchell finished the first 24 minutes of Game 2 with 6 points and 4 assists.
Emmanuel Mudiay added 5 points off the bench. Utah made 10 of their 21 attempts from beyond the arc.
Nikola Jokic led the Denver at the break with 15 points and 6 rebounds while Michael Porter Jr. added 12 points. Jamal Murray had 39 points in their Game 1 win but had just 4 points on 2 of 6 shooting in the first half of Game 2.
Monte Morris chipped in 7 points off the bench for the Nuggets. They had 5 made three-pointers on 11 attempts.
