MILLVILLE, Utah – Ridgeline High School athlete Jovesa Damuni is getting ready for the final season of his prep career this fall. But before the season kicks off in a few more weeks, Damuni settled his heated recruitment between a pair of in-state schools.

The rundown on Jovesa Damuni
A three-star athlete in the class of 2021 by 247Sports, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound Damuni has played running back, slot receiver, and cornerback during his high school career at Ridgeline.
Damuni is the son to former Utah State tight end Waqa Damuni and cousin to current BYU commit Raider Damuni. Jovesa joins cousin Raider in BYU’s 2021 recruiting class as the sixth commitment in the group.
Four of BYU’s six commits for 2021 are from the state of Utah. The 2021 class is expected to be a small class due to the Cougars current scholarship crunch.
Last season at Ridgeline, Damuni rushed for 835 yards and 12 touchdowns to go with 401 receiving yards and three touchdown catches.
Kalani Sitake has had a propensity as BYU’s head coach for adding players who can play a handful of positions. Damuni fits that billing and the vision that Sitake has to “get the best 11 on the field” at all times.
Jovesa Damuni and Ridgeline High School are scheduled to begin their 2020 season on August 14th at Pine View High School in St. George. The Riverhawks compete in class 4A.
