Real Monarchs SLC Earns Point In Match Against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Monarchs SLC picked up its first point of the 2020 USL Championship season against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
The Monarchs and Switchbacks played at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday, July 18. It was the second match for the Utah based soccer club amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Real Monarchs earned a point after a 3-3 draw with Colorado Springs.
The Switchbacks scored two late goals and forced the tie after the Monarchs held a two-goal edge for the majority of the second half.

The Monarchs were led to the result with goals from the following players:
- Kyle Coffee (30′)
- Andrew Brody (40′)
- Taylor Peay (61′)

The Utah club now owns a record of 0-1-2 this season.

Real Monarchs next fixture is a rematch against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on August 1 at 6 p.m. (MDT).
The match will be played at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs.
