SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The NCAA announced that Utah State’s Mealii Enos has been nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.

Since it was created in 1991, the NCAA’s Woman of the Year award honors “graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.”

Enos recently graduated from USU as the Valedictorian of the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services.

During her four seasons as a center back for the Aggies, Enos has played in 76 matches, including 74 starts at center back.

Enos is one of 605 nominees for the 2020 NCAA Woman of the Year. She is one of 259 nominees from Division I.

Over the next few months, nominees will be narrowed down to nine finalists in September. From those finalists, the NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics will choose the 2020 NCAA Woman of the Year.
