Former SLCC Bruins Star, Ex-BYU Commit Damian Henderson Signs Deal With Cincinnati Reds

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Salt Lake Community College standout and ex-BYU Cougars commit Damian Henderson signed a contract with the MLB’s Cincinnati Reds.
Henderson announced his professional deal with an Instagram post on Friday, July 10.
“Holy cow……….I’m a Red………..LETS GO!! I am so blessed to be a part of this awesome and upcoming organization,” the former Bruins star posted.

After verbally committing to play for BYU, the outfielder/pitcher decided to attend Salt Lake Community College in 2016.
During his time with the Bruins, he was selected to the SWAC All-Conference First Team and finished second for the SWAC Player of the Year award.
In 2018, Henderson transferred to CSU Bakersfield.

The Reds signed Henderson as a two-way player with an emphasis on pitching. His top speed pitch is 97 mph.
