SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Having success on the recruiting trail in the state of Utah has always been a top priority for the BYU football program. The Cougars continue to show the importance of in-state recruiting based on recent offers dished out to prospects from one local high school.
West High School was the lucky school to have three of its players receive scholarship offers from BYU.

The three West High players that received offers from BYU Defensive Coordinator Ilaisa Tuiaki were Dallas Vakalahi, Liutai Kiniki, and Talitu’i Pututau. All three recruits are viewed as future defensive linemen at the collegiate level. BYU is the first FBS offer for all three players.
Vakalahi and Kinikini are members of the class of 2022, while Pututau is heading into his sophomore year this fall as a member of the 2023 class.
BYU currently has one commitment in the class of 2022 in American Fork’s Noah Moeaki. The Cougars have zero commits for the class of 2023.
