The newest Aggie comes from a family surrounded by the game of basketball. Stastny’s father was his high school basketball coach and his sisters each played collegiately.
Stastny finished his prep career having scored over 2,000 career points and dished out more than 500 assists.
He shot 64.2 percent from the field, including 45 percent from beyond the arc. The guard also went 82.7 percent from the free-throw stripe.
Stastny was honored as a four-time district MVP, three-time Texas Area Basketball Coaches (TABC) all-region selection, and a TABC all-state selection during his high school career.
The guard also participated in track where he won a district championship in the 200-meters and high jump.
