Los Angeles Chargers Select Oregon QB Justin Herbert With Sixth Overall Pick In 2020 NFL Draft

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Los Angeles Chargers picked former Oregon Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert with the sixth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Herbert was the 3rd quarterback selected in the Draft.
The former Oregon signal-caller is headed to Los Angeles to lead an offense that helped the Chargers to a 5-11 record in 2019.

Justin Herbert’s Collegiate Career
Herbert, a Eugene, Oregon native, played for the Ducks from 2016-2019. During his college career, he led Oregon to a 29-13 record over 42 career starts, including a 27-8 mark over his final three seasons.
The former Ducks QB recorded a touchdown pass in 40 of his 42 career starts, including a streak of 35 consecutive games.
He ended his Oregon career as the program’s all-time leader in pass completions (827) and pass attempts (1,293).
As a senior, Herbert led the Ducks to a 12-2 record, Pac-12 title, and Rose Bowl victory. The Ducks finished the season with a No. 5 ranking.
Herbert ended his Ducks career with a completion percentage of 64 percent. He threw for 10,541 yards, 95 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions in 44 games.
After the season, he participated in the Senior Bowl and won the event’s MVP award.
