SALT LAKE CITYÂ – New Orleans Saints standout Taysom Hill gave everyone some news that is sure to make you smile during these tough times. Hill, who’s headed into his fourth NFL season, announced on his personal social media accounts that his wife Emily is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

The Hill’s have been married since the spring of 2014 when they were sealed in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Salt Lake Temple.
On the football field, Taysom Hill remains a restricted free agent
On the football field, Hill remains a restricted free agent despite the Saints tendering the fourth-year player with a first-round tender that would pay him $4.641 million in 2020. No long term agreement has been signed yet between Hill and the Saints but head coach Sean Payton has made it clear in the media he believes the former BYU star is a future franchise quarterback in the NFL.
Other teams around the league have the option to extend offers to Hill which would require the Saints to match if they wish to keep him. If the Saints don’t match, the team that extends the offer sheet would need to give up a first-round pick.
If Hill does end up with the Saints in 2020, he will be the backup quarterback to future Hall of Fame signal-caller Drew Brees who recently signed a two-year, $50 million contract. Along with being the backup quarterback, Hill would continue his role in the “F position” as a tight end and wide receiver in Sean Payton’s offense.
Exciting times ahead both on and off the field for the Hill household.
