SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah State Athletic Commission has named Red Rocks star MyKayla Skinner as the Collegiate Female Athlete of the Year.
Skinner did not spend this past season with the Red Rocks as she fully committed to prepare for the Olympic Games.
On April 25, 2019, Skinner officially confirmed her intention to return to elite gymnastics to make a run at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games. Now, she will have to wait until 2021 to make a run at Olympic Gold.
During the 2018-19 season, Skinner won two Pac-12 individual titles and helped the Red Rocks to second in the conference and into an Elevated Eight berth at the NCAA Championships.
