SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah defensive tackle Leki Fotu has the size and strength that will help any defense stop the run but some might be better fits than others.
The 6’5″ and 335-pound defensive tackle just needs a chance to show what he can do. He already made a major impact on Utah’s program and hopes to do that at the next level.
He told the Crimson Corner that he believes he is projected to go anywhere from the second round to the fourth round in the Draft. Things could change if they are able to participate in Utah’s pro day which was originally scheduled for last week but was postponed due to the coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak.
Here are some teams that would fortunate to have the services of Leki Fotu.
Houston Texans
The Texans need help at the tackle spot on defense to help J.J. Watt. Fotu would be able to relieve some of that pressure, plus to play with a guy like Watt would only benefit the former Ute.
Los Angeles Rams
Playing behind one of the best defensive tackles in the game would only strengthen Fotu and his future as an NFL player. To learn from Aaron Donald would be monumental.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers need some help on defense in particular on the defensive line. They have strong linebackers but they need some help up front to stop the run.
Minnesota Vikings
Even though the Vikings added a defensive tackle during free agency, Fotu gives them the depth that they need to keep the defense sharp in the NFC North.
