SALT LAKE CITY – With the pause in live sports due to the coronavirus or COVID-19, everyone is looking for things to do as they quarantine or fill the time that they would normally use to watch sports.

The Utes have plenty of good athletes and coaches and administrators that are good follows on social media.

Being the Utah insider for KSL Sports, I naturally have to help you out and tell you the best Utah athletes to follow on Twitter and Instagram.

Top Utah Athletes/Coaches to follow on Twitter

Morgan Scalley, Utah Football Defensive Coordinator | @SafetyPride

Scalley is regarded as one of the best assistant coaches in all of college football. It is almost certain that he will take over the football program at Utah when Kyle Whittingham decides to retire. The “Utah man” through and through is a great follow on Twitter with motivational and humorous posts.

Britain Covey, Utah Football wide receiver | @brit_covey2

Covey was sidelined for all but 4 games last season as he continued to recover from his season-ending knee injury that he suffered in 2018. The Timpview star has been a fun follow on Twitter as he documents his time without live sports. Also, his earthquake humor is great too.

Don’t expect Kyle Whittingham to tweet, he hasn’t sent anything out since he retweeted the Utah Football account on March 2.

Mark Harlan, Utah Director of Athletics | @MarkHarlan_AD

Harlan is a good follow for information on the latest news surrounding Utah Athletics. He has also posted some personal updates on being at home more with the COVID-19 outbreak.

Kim Tessen, Red Rocks Gymnast | @kim_tessen

Like all of us, Tessen is finding things to do during quarantine. She has some fun videos and posts on Twitter since the COVID-19 outbreak forced the university to do all classes online.

Utah Athletes To Follow On Instagram

Samson Nacua, Utah wide receiver | @sprankle_sprank

Nacua is a player to watch for this season for the Utes that will have a significant impact on the receiver corps. He is a motivating follow on Instagram while also wanting to have fun.

You like to watch cliff diving? Well, you can watch a former Ute do that in his home state of Hawaii. Come for the cliff diving and stay for the highlight plays from one of the greatest pass rushers in school history.
