SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell threw down two big dunks just minutes apart in the opening quarter of their game against the Washington Wizards.
The first dunk came with 7:30 remaining in the first quarter when Mike Conley was driving along the baseline when he quickly found Mitchell attacking the paint off the ball and received the pass and threw down the dunk with his right hand.
It was Mitchell’s first bucket of the game and Conley’s second assist in the early going.

The second dunk was more impressive when Mitchell received the ball on the left wing behind the three-point line. He dribbled past Wizards big man Ian Mahinmi and went straight to the hoop and threw down the dunk over Washington rookie and Gonzaga alum Rui Hachimura. Mitchell had nine points to that point in the game. That slam brought the Jazz within one point of the Wizards 14-13.
