Utah Jazz Center Rudy Gobert Throws Down Powerful Dunk Over Spurs

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw down a powerful slam dunk during the opening quarter of Utah’s game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Gobert and the Jazz hosted the Spurs at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Friday, February 21.
In the first game back from his first NBA All-Star appearance, the Jazz center beat the Spurs’ defense by former Jazzman and Spurs forward Trey Lyles along with former Utah Utes big man Jakob Poeltl to slam home a big dunk during the first quarter.

Gobert’s jam cut San Antonio’s lead over Utah to 24-17 with 2:11 left in the opening quarter of play.
After the first 12 minutes, the Spurs maintained a 27-21 advantage.
The Jazz shot 37.5 percent from the field and 12.5 percent from three during the quarter. San Antonio shot 43.5 percent overall and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Gobert finished the quarter in all-star form with a team-high 6 points on 2-2 field goals. He added 5 rebounds during 10 minutes on the court.
