Conley Hits Ingles On Deep Pass, Leading To Easy Layup Over Nuggets

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Mike Conley threw a perfect pass half the length of the court into the arms of Joe Ingles. The toss led to an easy layup by the Jazz forward against the Denver Nuggets.
Conley, Ingles, and the Jazz hosted the Nuggets at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Wednesday, February 5.
The Jazz point guard looked like a quarterback dropping a perfect throw into the hands of Ingles on the play. Ingles laid the ball off the backboard and throw the cylinder to give Utah a 61-54 advantage with 9:11 left in the third quarter.

The pass resulted in Conley’s second assist of the game and Utah’s 15th of the game.
On the night, Conley had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal during his first 20 minutes on the court. He shot 3-6 on field goals including 3-5 from three-point land.
Ingles’ layup resulted in his first two points of the game. Despite starting the game 0-2 shooting, Ingles helped the Jazz with 2 rebounds and 5 assists during his first 18 minutes on the floor.
After the bucket, Utah was shooting 45.1 percent overall on the night.

The Nuggets were shooting 46.0 percent on field goals. Denver was led by Jamal Murray’s 21 points and Nikola Jokic’s 16 points.
