Utah Valley Falls In Final Minute Of Overtime To CSU Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Utah Valley Wolverines men’s basketball team fell short of victory with a last-minute overtime loss to the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners.
The Wolverines visited the Roadrunners on Thursday, January 23.
After the Roadrunners forced overtime in the final minute of regulation, they jumped out of multiple possession advantage 90 seconds in the extra period of play. Utah Valley clawed back to make it a one-point game in the final minute of OT. Wolverines guard Isaiah White’s layup attempt didn’t fall through the cylinder during the final seconds of game time and the UVU fell 58-57 to the Roadrunners.

White was one of three Wolverine players to score in double figures against CSU Bakersfield.
The UVU guard finished with 13 points on 3-11 from the field and 0-2 from three. He pulled down an impressive 18 rebounds in the loss.
Utah Valley guard TJ Washington also scored 13 points in the defeat. Brandon Averette added 10 points.
The Roadrunners were led by Taze Moore’s 15 points and 5 rebounds.
CSU Bakersfield improved to 10-10 on the season and 4-1 in the Western Athletic Conference.
The Wolverines fell to 8-13 overall and 2-4 in WAC games.

Utah Valley finishes a two-game road trip against Grand Canyon on Saturday, January 25 at 6 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on ESPN3.
