Royce O’Neale Cuts Backdoor For Impressive Slam Against Bulls

CHICAGO, Ill. – Utah Jazz forward Royce O’Neale cut backdoor and ran the baseline for a powerful dunk in the team’s game against the Chicago Bulls.
O’Neale’s slam came midway through the second quarter of Utah’s game at the United Center on Thursday, January 2.
The Jazz forward cut on the baseline to get wide open. Utah guard Emmanuel Mudiay found O’Neale slashing and fed him the ball as he burst towards the hoop. O’Neale rose up and threw down an imposing jam with 5:24 left in the second quarter.

The jam extended Utah’s lead over the Bulls to 42-37.
After the dunk, O’Neale posted 5 points on 2/3 shooting. He added a rebound in his first nine minutes on the court.
O’Neale has started 30 games and played in 33 games for the Jazz this season. He’s recorded an average of 6.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per contest.
