Weddle, Wagner Named To Sporting News NFL All-Decade Team

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Sporting News released their NFL All-Decade team and two players with ties to the state of Utah was named to the list.
Former Ute and current Los Angeles Rams safety Eric Weddle and former Utah State and current Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner were named to the Sporting News All-Decade team.
Weddle was selected for his tremendous career which includes nine seasons in San Diego with the Chargers, three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and this season with the Los Angeles Rams. The former Ute has been named to six Pro Bowls and a first team All-Pro twice.
During this decade, Weddle has 25 interceptions (29 in his career), along with six sacks and 887. He has been a captain for all three teams. Weddle was selected in the second round, 37th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Chargers.

Wagner has been with the Seahawks throughout his eight seasons in the NFL. Through his career, Wagner has been selected to five Pro Bowls and a first team All-Pro four times on top of winning a Super Bowl. A few weeks ago, Wagner broke the franchise record for career tackles and has 1,120 tackles, 18.5 sacks and 10 interceptions in his career. The former Aggie was taken in the second round, 47th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seahawks.
