SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz swingman Joe Ingles used his play making skills to spark a first quarter run for the Jazz against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Just possessions apart, Ingles threw the ball high to Rudy Gobert on two separate occasions for easy buckets that sparked an 11-2 run for the Jazz, giving them a 22-19 lead near the end of the first quarter.
Ingles was scoreless but had 4 assists in the opening quarter, with three of them going to Gobert. Utah had just 6 assists at that point in the game. Gobert had 8 points and 5 rebounds during the run.
The first lob was on the break when Emmanuel Mudiay found Ingles on the left wing and as Gobert was running into the paint, Ingles lobbed the ball over two Thunder defenders and Gobert caught the ball, planted his feet and lightly dunked the ball.

The second one happened with Ingles received a pick from Gobert and as the big man rolled to the rim, Ingles threw the ball up for Gobert to kiss it off the glass with his right hand.
The duo connected in the first score of the game for the Jazz when Donovan Mitchell handed the ball off to Ingles at the top of the arc, when he attacked the middle of the paint and dished the ball to his left behind the back of Thunder big man Steven Adams, finding Gobert for the easy layup.
