Weber State Loses Late To Murray State

ESTERO, Fla. – The Weber State Wildcats lost a lead in the final moments to Murray State 69-68 in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
The Wildcats had a three point lead with 1:32 remaining in the game when the Racers made a layup and a pair of free throws, while keeping Weber State scoreless.
They are 0-2 in the Gulf Coast Showcase, losing to Wright State by 15 points on Monday night.

Cody John led the Wildcats with 20 points on 8-13 shooting from the field and a perfect 3-3 from downtown. Jerrick Harding added 18 points and 6 rebounds, connecting on 6 of his 16 field goal attempts and 2-6 from downtown.
The duo was the only two Wildcats to reach double figures in scoring. Michal Kozak and Kham Davis each chipped in 8 points.
The Wildcats shot the ball well by making 43 percent of their field goals and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
For Murray State, K.J. Williams led all scorers with 23 points, Tevin Brown added 19 points, while both Chico Carter Jr. and Jaiveon Eaves had 10 points.
The Racers shot 61 percent from the field and 53 percent from downtown.
Weber State dropped their record to 1-4 on the season. They will have a short turnaround when they face Northeastern at 9 a.m. to round out the Gulf Coast Classic.
