Senior Austin Lee Scores On Pick-Six In Final BYU Home Game

PROVO, Utah – BYU senior defensive back Austin Lee intercepted Idaho State quarterback Matt Struck and ran the ball all the way into the end zone for a Cougar TD in his final home game.
Lee’s INT gave BYU a 7-0 lead over the Bengals in the first quarter on Saturday, November 16.
The Cougar DB picked off Struck and returned the ball 26 yards for the score with 9:12 left in the opening quarter.

Lee’s pick-six was the first of his college career.

He’s recorded two interceptions in a Cougar uniform. Both of the INTs came in 2018.
The BYU DB entered senior day against the Bengals having posted 15 total tackles and a fumble recovery in 2019.
The interception for a touchdown was the first for BYU since former Cougar DB Micah Hanneman had a pick-six against Utah State in 2017.
