Hagen’s 57-Yard Sprinting Score Highlights Corner Canyon’s Win

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Corner Canyon quarterback Cole Hagen was sensational in the Chargers’ win over the Lone Peak Knights including a 57-yard keeper for a touchdown.
Hagen led the Chargers to a 34-7 victory over the Knights at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Friday, November 15.
The Corner Canyon QB threw for three touchdowns and ran for another on the 57-yard sprint to the end zone. The win secured the Chargers a spot in the 6A championship game.
“We came in knowing that we just wanted to be really aggressive and just get after them quick,” said Hagen after the win.

Hagen had impressive numbers against a solid Lone Peak defense on Friday.
He was 14/29 for 280 yards and 3 touchdowns in the passing game.

He added 120 yards and a score on 14 carries in the Chargers’ ground attack.
Corner Canyon’s Talmage Handley had three catches for 146 yards and 2 TDs in the Chargers’ win.

The Chargers defense was stout all afternoon holding Lone Peak scoreless until 11:41 left in the game when Nate Ritchie ran in the Knights lone score of the game.
Ritchie led the Knights with 10 carries for 56 yards and a TD in the defeat.
Corner Canyon will face the winner of American Fork and East in the 6A title game.
The 6A championship game is scheduled for November 22 at 2:30 p.m. The game will be played at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
