Nathan Makes Terrific Catch With Two Defenders Leading To TD

FRESNO, Calif. – Utah State wide receiver Jordan Nathan made a fantastic catch down the field with two Fresno State defenders surrounding him. That play set up the Aggies for a touchdown before halftime.
Quarterback Jordan Love threw a deep ball on Fresno State’s 44-yard line to Nathan, who completed the catch and landed at the eight-yard line for a 36-yard gain.

Love threw two incomplete passes before he hit Siaosi Mariner for the second time in the game on third and goal for an eight-yard touchdown.
Utah State had a 21-14 lead with 39 seconds left in the first half after the touchdown.
Fresno State started the game with a 10-yard rushing touchdown early in the game by Ronnie Rivers. The Aggies answered with a 21-yard run into the end zone by running back Gerold Bright. Rivers responded with another rushing touchdown early in the second quarter before Love and Mariner connected for two unanswered touchdowns before halftime.
In the first half, Love completed 15-of-19 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Bright had 5 carries for 28 yards and a score in the opening half. Former Utah tight end Caleb Repp hauled in 4 receptions for 64 yards, Mariner added 6 catches for 57 yards and the two scores.
