Southern Utah Upsets Nebraska In Double Overtime Thriller

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Southern Utah men’s basketball team upset the Big Ten’s Nebraska Cornhuskers in a double-overtime thriller.
The Thunderbirds defeated the Huskers in Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday, November 9.
Southern Utah’s Cameron Oluyitan hit a game-winning jumper with two seconds left in 2OT to give the T-Birds a 79-78 victory.

Oluyitan’s winning bucket was two of his 11 points in the win. The guard was 5-11 on field goals and added 7 rebounds and a steal in Saturday’s game.
Southern Utah was led in scoring by Dwayne Morgan who had 19 points on 6-16 shooting.
The Thunderbirds had five players that scored in double figures.

SUU moved to 2-0 on the season with the upset. Nebraska fell to 0-2 to start the 2019-20 season.
The T-Birds next game is against the BYU Cougars. SUU and BYU tip-off on November 13 at 7 p.m.
