SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Mike Conley hasn’t had the smoothest of starts to the season as a Jazzman, but he made his presence known against a former Jazz point guard.
With 6:56 left in the second quarter, and the Jazz trailing the Philadelphia 76ers 44-40, Jeff Conley turned the ball over on a careless pass. Former Jazzman Raul Neto picked up the loose ball and drove the length of the court for what appeared to be an easy finish.
Enter Conley.
The new Jazz point guard erased the lay-up attempt of Neto with an emphatic block out of bounds, saving the lead extending basket.

Conley crashed hard on the landing, but was piked up by him teammates and stayed in the game.
The block re-energized the Jazz crowd, and ignited a 9-4 Jazz run to give the hometown team a 49-48 lead over the next 2:46 of the game.
Fans were thrilled with the effort from Conley.
