Salt Lake City Stars Waive Former UVU Guard Conner Toolson

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Salt Lake City Stars announced the release of former Utah Valley guard Conner Toolson.
Toolson was waived by the Utah Jazz’s G League team on Thursday, October 31.
The former UVU guard’s departure from the Stars comes less than a week after he was selected by SLC in the G League draft.

Toolson was selected by the Stars with the 73rd overall pick was the final pick in the draft for Salt Lake City.
In the three seasons in Orem, Toolson played in 99 games, starting in 92 contests. He averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 steals in 30 minutes played per game.
The Highland, Utah native played one season at Salt Lake Community College before transferring to UVU. While he was with the Bruins, he led them to the 2016 NJCAA national title.
Toolson is the son of former Jazz and BYU player Andy Toolson.
The Stars also announced the release of forward Cornelius Hudson on Thursday. The SLC roster now has 14 players.
The G League squad began its training camp on Monday, October 28.
Salt Lake City opens the 2019-20 season at Sioux Falls on Sunday, November 10 before playing they come back to Utah for their home opener on Friday, November 15 at 7 p.m. vs. Rio Grande Valley.
