Weber State Football Celebrates 100th Anniversary Of 1st Win

OGDEN, Utah – The Weber State football team celebrated the 100th anniversary of their first win in program history.
The Wildcats posted about the anniversary via social media on Thursday, October 31.
The Wildcats’ first win came on Halloween in 1919 when the school was known as Weber Normal College. They defeated Davis High 6-0.

Fast forward, 100 years from that game and the Wildcats are the No. 3 ranked team among FCS squads. Weber State has a 6-2 record and is currently on a five-game winning streak.

WSU’s only losses have come on the road against FBS teams, San Diego State and Nevada
The Wildcats travel to take on Sacramento State on Saturday, November 2. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be televised on Pluto TV channel 533.
