Rudy Gobert Swats A Shot For 900th Time

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert reached the defensive milestone of 900 career blocks against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Gobert’s 900th block came in the fourth quarter against the Clips on Wednesday, October 30.
The “French Rejection” swatted a four-foot layup attempt by Landry Shamet with 5:56 left in the game.

Gobert is one of 118 players in NBA history to record 900 or more swats. He recently surpassed Michael Jordan for No. 118 on the all-time list.
Some active players that have more blocks than the “Stifle Tower” include LeBron James, Robin Lopez, Kevin Durant, Al Horford, JaVale McGee, LaMarcus Aldridge, Anthony Davis, Marc Gasol, Brook Lopez, Serge Ibaka, Pau Gasol, and Dwight Howard.
Gobert has some good company on the all-time blocks list. Former Jazzman Mark Eaton is fifth all-time with 3,064 blocks. Andrei Kirilenko is No. 39 with 1,461. Greg Ostertag is No. 51 with 1,293. Karl Malone is No. 68 with 1,145. Al Jefferson is No. 80 with 1,093. Thurl Bailey is No. 83 with 1,086. Paul Millsap is No 101 with 969. Antoine Carr is No. 111. with 925.
Hakeem Olajuwon is the NBA’s all-time rejection leader with 3,830 blocks.
