Royals Close Out 2nd Season With Win Over Dash

SANDY, Utah – Utah Royals FC closed out their second season with a win over the Houston Dash.
The Royals beat the Dash 2-1 at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday, October 12.
Utah was led by goals from Christen Press and Amy Rodriguez in the regular season finale.

Press posted her score in the third minute of the game. It was the striker’s eighth goal of the season.
Rodriguez’s goal came in the 23rd minute. It was her ninth of the season.
The Royals finished the season with a record of 11-10-4.
After the victory over the Dash, the Royals were in sixth place in the NWSL standings.
Utah fell short of the postseason with a loss to Chicago in their second to last match.
