Wyatt Evertsen Leads Farmington To Victory Over Bountiful

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Farmington had a one-point lead at halftime before both teams went scoreless in the third quarter.
The Braves took the lead early in the fourth quarter, but Wyatt Evertsen ran in a one-yard touchdown with less than two minutes left to get the 34-30 win.
Evertsen finished with three passing and two rushing touchdowns.
Jared McCann had two rushing touchdowns for Bountiful.

Region 5
Bonneville 28 at Box Elder 25
Bonneville scored two touchdowns in the opening quarter and it was just enough to hold off Box Elder. Trevin Johnson had two rushing touchdowns for Box Elder in the loss.

Woods Cross 3 at Viewmont 0
Defense was dominant for both teams. Woods Cross scored the only field goal in the game in the third quarter.
Region 6
Brighton 35 at Hillcrest 7
After taking a 7-0 lead in the second quarter, Hillcrest allowed Brighton to score 35 straight points and the 35-7 win on Thursday night. Brighton quarterback Gabe Curtis threw four touchdown passes in the win. Hillcrest’s Jonathon Lopez scored a touchdown in the loss.

Murray 10 at Highland 16
The Highland defense held Murray to a scoreless second half on Thursday night and led Rams to a 16-10 win. The Rams had two rushing touchdowns in the win. Highland’s Colton White and Nephi Hosea were responsible for the scores. Murray’s Kyle Nielsen threw one touchdown pass in the defeat.
Olympus 69 at Cottonwood 0
The Olympus Titans blasted the Cottonwood Colts on Thursday night and won the road game 69-0. The Titans scored 56 points in the first half alone. Olympus had seven rushing touchdowns in the win. Three of the TDs came from Chase Hopkins.
Region 7
Orem 49 at Mountain Ridge 0
The Orem Tigers scored 42 first-half points on their way to a 49-0 Thursday night win over Mountain Ridge. The Tigers had five rushing touchdowns in the win. Orem’s Noah Sewell was responsible for two TDs including one interception returned for a score.

Timpview 21 at Alta 11
Timpview scored one touchdown in each of the first three quarters on Thursday night to get a 21-11 win over the Alta Hawks. The T-Birds’ Raider Damuni scored a TD in the second quarter on a 95-yard kick return.
Region 8
Maple Mountain 13 at Provo 35
The Provo Bulldogs rode a 28-0 lead entering the fourth quarter to a 35-13 win over Maple Mountain on Thursday evening. The Bulldogs’ Dallin Havea score two touchdowns in the win. Maple Mountain QB Tyler Nelson threw one touchdown pass in the loss.
Payson 14 at Spanish Fork 26
The Spanish Fork Dons scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to get a 12 point win over Payson on Thursday night. Payson entered the fourth quarter with 14-13 lead. Spanish Fork was led by Kaden Holt who threw two touchdowns and ran for another couple in the win.
Salem Hills 23 at Wasatch 20
The Salem Hills SkyHawks kicked a field goal with one second remaining to take home a 23-20 win over Wasatch. Luke Clawson nailed the 44-yard FG, his third of the game, to give Salem Hills the road win on Thursday night. The SkyHawks’ Redd Johnson added an 80-yard kick return for a TD in the third quarter. Salem Hills’ Jarret Elmer had a rushing TD in the win. Wasatch had rushing scores by Parker Quinton and Zak Thacker in the loss.
Non-Region
Lehi 55 at Taylorsville 0
The Lehi Pioneers went on the road and shutout Taylorsville 55-0 for a non-region victory. The Pioneers scored 28 points in the second quarter. Lehi QB Creyton Cooper threw three touchdowns and ran in another score in the win.

Skyline 40 at Timpanogos 27
The Skyline Eagles scored 26 points in the second half of action on their way to a 13-point win over Timpanogos on Thursday. The Eagles were led by quarterback Braxton Bolingbroke’s three touchdown passes. Timpanogos’ Mathew Arteaga had two rushing scores in the defeat.
