BATON ROUGE, La. – Utah State wide receiver Siaosi Mariner made a tremendous one-handed catch against No. 5 LSU to get the Aggies into field goal range.
Aggies quarterback Jordan Love needed to scramble out of the pocket before he heaved the ball towards Mariner, who had an LSU defender on his right side and reached out with his left hand to make the catch.
He was injured on the play and had to come off of the field.

The drive was set up when USU’s defense forced LSU to turn the ball over on downs in Utah State territory.
Utah State had to settle for a 47-yard field goal by Dominik Eberle, who nailed a 30-yard field goal earlier and the Aggies trailed LSU 7-6 at the end of the first quarter.
Mariner made his second catch of the game and has 45 yards from those grabs.
Entering the game against the Tigers, Mariner leads the team with 22 catches for 305 yards on the season.
LSU had a hot start to the game, scoring in less than five minutes as they were able to get down the field fairly easy and Burrow found Derrick Dillon for a seven-yard touchdown to take a 7-0 lead.
