Noah Sewell Leads Orem To Win Over Timpview

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The best player in the state of Utah Noah Sewell of Orem High School made his 2019 season debut and had a major impact in their 28-10 win over the Timpview Thunderbirds.
Cayden Viertel ran in a third rushing score. The bleeding for Timpview stopped after Kana’ipono Kahala-Giron connected with Travis Thomson. The Thunderbirds scored in the fourth quarter when Elijah Allen found Braxton Cravens.

Region 5
Box Elder 24 at Woods Cross 27
Woods Cross trailed by 11 points entering the fourth quarter when they scored two unanswered touchdowns in the final period, including an 85-yard kick return for a touchdown with under three minutes remaining. Braden Freestone and Carson Miller ran in touchdowns for Woods Cross. Trevin Johnson scored the two touchdowns for Box Elder in the loss.
Farmington 30 at Bonneville 14
When Bonneville scored their first touchdown of the game, it was already too late. Jeremy Wilcox had a interception returned for a touchdown, while Wyatt Evertsen threw two touchdowns for Farmington.
Viewmont 3 at Bountiful 29
Peyton Beck, Jared Mccann and Carson Knudsen all scored touchdowns on the ground for Bountiful in their win over Viewmont.
Region 6
Brighton 38 at Murray 14
Murray pulled within three points in the third quarter before Brighton went off by outscoring the Spartans 28-7. Mason Young ran in two touchdowns, while Gabe Curtis and Owen Powers each added one score on the ground for Brighton. Harrison Nelson threw both of his touchdown passes to Owen Madsen for Murray.
Hillcrest 14 at Olympus 42
Hillcrest scored their only two touchdowns after Olympus scored their 42 points. Chase Hopkins led the way with two rushing touchdowns, while Frankie Goodson threw two scores and ran in one for the Titans.
Region 7
Lehi 28 at Alta 34
Lehi jumped out to a 28-14 lead heading into the fourth quarter when Alta scored 20 unanswered points, including the game-winning touchdown with 36 seconds left in the game. Alta quarterback Cinco Lucero threw three touchdowns and ran in two more. He connected with Daniel Thomason twice and Halatau Mani once for the Hawks. Creyton Cooper had two touchdowns through the air, while Carsen Manookin ran in one score for Lehi.
Region 8
Provo 30 at Salem Hills 26
Luke Haslem threw two touchdowns and Ryan Harward ran in two scores for Provo. Jordan Ware and Sam Hughes each had a rushing touchdown for Salem Hills, with Jarret Elmer throwing a touchdown. Salem Hills had a 10-0 lead before Provo scored 16 points in the second quarter.
Spanish Fork 0 at Springville 20
Tyler Kelly ran in a touchdown, while Payton Murphy found Austin Mortensen and Zach Mitchell for touchdowns in the shutout win over Spanish Fork.
Wasatch 42 at Payson 7
Wasatch scored 21 points in both the first and second quarters. Parker Quinton threw three touchdowns and ran in another score. Zak Thacker had one receiving and two rushing touchdowns in the win.
Non-Region
Maple Mountain 54 at Cottonwood 0
Quinlin Jackson ran in two touchdowns, Tyler Nelson threw one and ran in one score and Reuben Rose had a rushing touchdown along with a passing score by Kyson Hall as Maple Mountain shutout win.
