Former Jazzman David Stockton Signs With Los Angeles Lakers

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Former Utah Jazz guard David Stockton, the son of Jazz legend John Stockton, has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Per team policy, the terms of the deal was not released. They signed Stockton after waiving forward Jordan Caroline.
Stockton played in 35 games with 25 starts in Germany for Medi Bayreuth in the German Bundesliga last season, while averaging 8.7 points, 3.6 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 19.8 minutes per game.

He was last in the NBA during the 2017-18 season, when he played in 39 games, including 15 starts with the Stockton Kings of the NBA G-League. During that stint, he averaged 16.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 28.2 minutes per game. Stockton then signed with the Utah Jazz for the rest of that season and appeared in three regular season and two playoff games.
Stockton will be fighting for a roster spot with the Lakers as the team has 20 players currently on their roster, including two players that are on two-way contracts.
